其实我们这里没有地震，一直就听说贵州不是一个有地震的地方。但这个不能绝对，以前不地震，不代表今后不地震，前段时间六盘水就地震了。不过，我之前是从未经历过地震的。

今天是一个很平常的日子，为了上班，我早上五点多就起床了，赶上大巴到达学校。早上的工作很忙碌，时间也过得快，还没有回过神来，就已经到了十二点，匆匆把带去的午餐放在炉上热了一下，边等待，边忙着一些要交的资料。吃完饭，做完那些资料，就到了两点了。

下午有课，幸好五一过后采用夏季时间，下午是两点半才上课。于是就有时间稍稍休息几分钟，缓一缓神。两点十分，去教室。由于教室在另一栋楼，所以，我都是提前二十分钟去的。

到达四楼的教室，已经有学生在里面了。我接好电脑，打开投影仪，和学生闲谈了几句，告诉他们查找资料的WIKI网站。学生渐渐多了，我准备上课。

天气很热，又是下午，学生状态都不是很好，有些想睡觉，有些叫我放点有趣的东西给他们看。我没有答应他们，叫他们忍耐一下，课是要上的。

但这时，发现有点不对头了，屏幕很晃，我有点纳闷，抬头看挂在天花板上的投影仪，晃动得很厉害。我想叫一个个子高点儿的学生去把它弄稳当一点，可是没有人愿意。有学生说，可能是楼上的人在跳，所以，才晃的。

我也没有管他，晃就晃吧，开始上课。这时是2008年5月12日下午2点30分，可是当时我们谁也没有想到，大地在怒吼。

勉强讲了几分钟，学生又叫起来，原来电灯都在晃动，很厉害。我知道今天是有点问题，走出教室门，看到走廊上有其他的学生，外面也很吵，我就问是什么？他们说是地震了。

我走进来，很平静地告诉学生说是地震了。但我说不要紧，我们先上课，如果震得厉害了，我们就跑。

为什么当时我没有直接叫学生出去呢？我是想到了两点：

1、六盘水发生了地震，我认为可能是那里的地震所引起的一些震感。虽然看到灯在晃，但我自己丝毫没有晃动的感觉。

2、学日本语的时候，讲到日本的地震，听说日本天天地震，因此，对他们来说，地震并没有什么，只要不是阪神那样的大地震就行了。

基于这两点想法，我把学生留在教室，继续上课，但门开着，以备万一。

学生的手机收到了地震的信息，并告诉我，其它学校的学生都没有上课了。这时第一节快要下了，于是我就宣布先休息一下，看看情况，其实这个时候，已经没有晃动了。我打开网页，看到了四川汶县发生7.6级地震的头条新闻。

不到五分钟，一位老师进来对我说，叫学生下课出去，不要上课了，地震了。我问他是哪里的？他告诉我是教务处的。这时已经是三点一刻了。

于是我叫学生收拾东西下楼，不上课了。然后就收拾自己的东西，并和那位老师说话：学校这种通知方式也太落后了，叫人一间教室一间教室的跑，真有大地震，来得及吗？后来我想到，地震是无法预报的，因此，再快的通知方式，也只能落后上帝一步。

学生很高兴的都走了，遂了他们的意，下午上课的确精神难得集中。

我下了楼，外面到处都是学生，打电话。我也想打电话给妻子，问问她是在哪里。可根本就打不通。我又打座机，也是不通，我不放弃，继续的拨叫，终于接通了。她告诉我，她在外面带小肥玩，那里也有很强的震感，很多人都跑出来了，有些人是从睡梦中惊醒的，还穿着睡衣。

果真这么恐怖吗？为何我当时会还留着学生继续在教室上课呢？如果真的发生大地震那怎么办？不想不要紧，一想，还真后怕。如果真是因为我的原因，使这么多学生受害，我岂不是天大的罪人？

回家的路上，听到的言论，全部是关于地震的。广播里也播放着地震的消息，锦涛书记做出了决定，全力抢救；温家宝总理也坐飞机在去灾区的路上。一切都来得那么突然，这么大的变故。

广播里说，震级是7.8级，发生在四川西北部的一县，播音员还说了一句，四川卧龙大熊猫基地就在那个县的西南。我不知道播音员说这句话是什么目的？是关心大熊猫还是只是想提醒一下震中的形象位置？

7.8级的地震所造成的损害肯定不是小，很多房子顷刻之间倒塌，很多人顷刻之间死去，而我还在懵懂之中不知所措，灾害就在眼前，而我还执着于某些形式上的东西。

到了家，姑姑给我打来电话，问我们这里有事没有？并叫我们晚上不要呆在家里，要到外面的平地来。

2008年，不闰八月，为何会发生这么多的事呢？

附：至13日早七点，此次地震引起四川及周边各省死亡人数为9219人。

 5 dead as China quake crushes schools

BEIJING, China (CNN) -- A major earthquake shook central China Monday, killing at least five people and injuring more than 100, the country's official news agency Xinhua reported.

The quake registered a magnitude of 7.8, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

At least four students were killed and 100 hurt when two primary school buildings collapsed in the Chongqing municipality, about 215 miles (345 kilometers) southeast of the epicenter, Xinhua reported.

Another person was killed when a water tower fell in the city of Mianyang, the news agency reported.

A provincial government spokesman said they feared more dead and injured in collapsed houses in Dujiangyan City in Wenchuan County, Xinhua reported.

The news agency also quoted a driver for the seismological bureau saying he saw "rows of houses collapsed" in Dujiangyan.

Chinese President Hu Jintao immediately ordered an all-out effort to help victims of the earthquakes, Xinhua reported. It said Premier Wen Jiabao would go there to direct the rescue work.

Bonnie Thie, the country director the Peace Corps, was on a university campus in Chengdu about 60 miles from the epicenter, in the eastern part of China's Sichuan province, when the first quake hit.

"You could see the ground shaking," Thie told CNN.

The shaking "went on for what seemed like a very long time," she said.

"This is a very dangerous earthquake," said Bruce Presgrave, a geophysicist with the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake has the potential to cause major damage because of its strength and proximity to major population centers, he said. In addition, the earthquake was relatively shallow, Presgrave said, and those kinds of quakes tend to do more damage near the epicenter than deeper ones.

An earthquake with 7.5 magnitude in the northern Chinese city of Tangshan killed 255,000 people in 1976 -- the greatest death toll from an earthquake in the last four centuries and the second greatest in recorded history, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Tangshan is roughly 995 miles (1,600 km) from Chengdu, the nearest major city to the epicenter of Monday's quake.

After the quake struck Monday, the ground shook as far away as Beijing, which is 950 miles (1,528 km) from the epicenter.

They felt "a very quiet rolling sensation" that lasted for about a minute, according to CNN correspondent John Vause.

"Our building began to sway," he said.

Thousands of people were evacuated from Beijing highrises immediately after the earthquake.

At least six more earthquakes -- measuring between 4.0 and 6.0 magnitudes -- happened nearby over the three hours after the initial quake at at 2:28 p.m. local time (0728 GMT, 0228 ET), the USGS reported.

A spokesman for the Beijing Olympic Committee said no Olympic venues were affected by the earthquake. The massive Three Gorges Dam -- roughly 400 miles east of the epicenter -- was not damaged, a spokesman said.

The earthquake was also felt in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taiwan, and as far away as Hanoi, Vietnam, and Bangkok, Thailand, according to the Hong Kong-based Mandarin-language channel Phoenix TV.
